Saturday 4.20.24
Happy Saturday everyone! Greetings from NYC. We’re launching something really special later today and have family in town this weekend. It’s always a fun treat to revisit all your favorite spots in NYC that can be taken for granted.
As I have my mom in town this weekend, I thought I’d put together a little early Mother’s Day gift guide. Mom, if you’re reading this, your gift isn’t on the list:)
My mom is a huge flower lover, and visits NYC every April to see all the spring blooms. I love making a donation to the Central Park Conservancy in my mom’s honor. They have a donation program that goes towards planting tulips and daffodils in someone’s honor. How sweet!
I love adding to my mom’s charm bracelet. Sometimes simple is best. A solid disk engraved with the date of a special memory is both thoughtful and classic.
My mom has a handful of very chic bars set up around her house. I love giving her sets of MM signature cocktail napkins to keep on the bar. Each set is different so it’s a fun surprise!
While you’re upgrading her cocktail hour, make her some custom matches. This is always a chic touch to find when you’re visiting someone’s home. Choose a classic color and just do their first and last initials in all caps. Chic.
This was my favorite candle when I worked for RL. Who doesn’t want their home to smell like a cashmere waft of Madison Avenue?
My mom’s favorite D. Porthault print is the Coeur’s Heart in Blue. I love these sweet guest towels for the bathroom to coordinate with her bed linens.
Hudson Grace has a nice variety of vintage silver in great condition. I love this silver bowl for cut lemons and limes on a bar. Bergdorf Goodman has a huge variety of “Hotel Silver”, my preferred brand of silver, but they don’t offer much online.
Moms can always use a handbag refresh. As you can imagine, my mom has a very large collection of MM dresses and often needs a new clutch to throw in the mix. I love this modern black clutch or this beaded number for something festive.
Stationary is something that is hard to remember to refresh yourself. You can’t go wrong with a classic Dempsey monogram.
I hope this list inspires you to get a head start on your Mother’s Day planning:)
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
xx, MM
