Happy Saturday everyone! What a whirlwind week it was. I’m so grateful for a relaxing weekend after shipping oodles of pre-orders the past few days! I had dreams of spending today on the water in search of a bloody mary and a lobster roll but I don’t think the weather is going to cooperate. However, as I covered on Wednesday, I’m practicing gratitude this summer for the small things. So we’re pivoting and heading South in search of pizza and old friends. The rain is needed much more!
There’s nothing more satisfying as a business owner writing this Saturday Substack than being able to talk about a fresh batch of impeccably made, beautifully detailed webstock, as well as the closing day of a fabulous preorder.
It’s funny; as this is, you know, my job, sometimes I don’t think about preorders as “Collections” or *expressing my creativity*, but more as benchmarks on our calendar & sales goals to hit. When it’s a really good one, I get a few responses from friends/family/customers saying “congratulations on the collection”. That always catches me off guard, but is much appreciated. Hibiscus Floral is happily one of those. I highly suggest you don’t miss out! :)
Another great thing I’m happy to share today. This batch of webstock marks a GREATLY anticipated goal for me. Over the last year we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to streamline/improve just about everything in our production process that you don’t see. We have been working with a few new fabric mills in that time, experimenting with base cloths and building relationships to get the really good stuff (they don’t just give you it upfront). Not an easy thing to do.
All this is to say, this fresh July webstock is officially the debut of our completely standardized shift cotton. We’ve tested a few, but now you can be guaranteed when you order a shift, it will be this cotton that has passed all of our tests. The perfect weight, a beautiful rib, good structure, breathable and oh so soft. It’s why it is now simply marked as “cotton” on our product descriptions. Any cotton Lizzy, Louise or Perry in your carts will be this cotton! That’s peace of mind in my book. Try one out this weekend for yourself - webstock ships immediately :)
Our long awaited Perry shift is here in two best selling prints, Trianon and Devonshire Floral. Perry has beautiful stitched pleats down the center front placket, a self hemband for extra body and a fused banded collar for a sharp finish. It just has that little extra something to dress up a shift body, and the pleat details elongate you. What’s not to love?
IN addition, we have new Sylvie shirt-dresses in stock in our fan favorite MM cherries print! This dress/print combo is ideal for running around town, going to lunch or the office. I often feel like I’m “tricking” everyone into thinking I’m put together when I pop one of our Sylvie shirt dresses. After all, Lululemon leggings and a workout top is two pieces, and Sylvie is one;)
And last but certainly not least, our Hibiscus Floral tropical pre-order ends today. Yes, every one of you need a shimmery, fabulously floaty Veda caftan.
