Happy Saturday!
What’s on deck in the shop this weekend:
SAFARI INSPIRED SHIRTDRESSING
We have so many fun additions to the shop this weekend. The general shirtdress/safari shirtdress/menswear inspired shirting is a broad & storied category that spans from a simple buttonfront to the bells and whistles of a Chanel suit. I’ve always been inspired by linen tops in this category that I wanted to design into dresses. Our original Natasha was such a smash hit last summer, we added a long sleeve for colder months, Blair☺
MM CANING
Our newest print, MM Caning, is a classic addition to our print collection. It’s always a delicate balance to add different prints into the calendar other than floral prints and our new graphic is necessary palette cleanser.
MM ILLUSTRATIONS
We’ve had such a fun week launching our MM custom illustrations. I spent years professionally sketching dresses at RL day after day. No surprise, when running a direct-to-consumer business, my days are spent doing far more analytical tasks then creative sketching. I really, really missed sketching as a creative outlet. It’s such a central part of our design process that is usually kept in house. We’re always looking for new ways to connect with our customers and are thrilled to find our art on your walls and in your homes. Today is the last day to order yours!
WEEKLY INSPIRATION:
-Making this for Sunday dinner. I usually am not a “bowl” person but I’m interested.
-While listening to this unplugged album version (I’m a big country music fan, especially while cooking a big weekend dinner)
-Our knitwear designer (one of my best friend’s from FIT) lives in Florence and happens to be one of the chicest people I know. She introduced me to this handbag brand and I’m dying to try one out. Their website is made to order but there is a small amount of stock on Net a Porter as well.
Ladies, this is a little intimate but I can’t help but share. One of my other best friends from college works at Revolve and introduced me to this handy tape a few weeks ago when we had our halter Carmen on pre-order. It’s a great alternative to petals and can be used many ways. It also comes in different shades. A great hack for summer!
Major MM fangirl here. I was a slacker and missed out the fall/winter Blair - I think it was so wildly popular it sold out before pre-order ended. For those of us that still go into an office, this style is everything! Thank you Molly! Also now down a rabbit hole of the tape you suggest - have only use petals but sometimes they are not quite enough. That being said, I am a little intimidated by the "how to" video - seems like a lot of room for things to go horribly wrong:

Hi Molly! They have those bags on Tuckernuck and JCrew had them at one time too - they are beautiful! Thank you for the fun recommendations! Amber
